How to Stop Overthinking

The Whole Assistant Podcast poster for Releasing Overthinking with Savanna Symons

All of us have experienced what it feels like to make a plan, know what to do, and then pause, only to get lost in a sea of anxious questions and wonders imposed on us by our own minds. This is overthinking — or put differently, rumination, also known as excessive thinking.

What I know for sure about overthinking is that once you solve it, it will set you free.

Overthinking is costing you.

It costs you money, clients, evenings, sleep, presence and perhaps worst of all: peace.

I know that because I’ve lived it, and have spent years helping clients solve for their anxious overthinking in their jobs, businesses, and personal lives for years.

Real Tools to Make a Change

I sat down with Executive Assistant Coach Annie Croner on her podcast, the Whole Assistant Podcast, to share how you can start releasing the pattern or overthinking, ruminating or spinning this week.

Together, we share practical tools and personal experiences to help you find real calm, even in the most demanding roles or circumstances.

In this episode, you’ll hear:

    •    Why overthinking is so common for professionals, and how it quietly undermines your energy, productivity, and well-being

    •    The physical and emotional consequences of chronic rumination

    •    How to interrupt the overthinking cycle

    •    Grounding and somatic techniques to get out of your head and back into your body, so you can move forward with clarity and confidence

If you’re someone who overanalyzes, second-guesses, or feels frozen by the pressure to “get it right”, this episode was made for you. If you’re ready to stop negotiating with your anxious thoughts and start feeling more calm and in control, it’ll feel like a deep exhale.
